Renee Made the Biggest Mistake of Her Life

Renee Zellweger is among the few most appreciated actresses on earth but fame always comes at a price and she got to learn that on her own, after her speedy marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney was annulled at her request only 128 days later. The wedding ceremony took place in a very romantic setting, on a beach of the St. John Island on May 2005, after less than four months of courtship. The couple didn't even make it to the divorce, as the 'Cold Mountain' star asked for an annulment in September, citing 'fraud' as the main reason for the split. After a long period of seclusion, in which Renee did her best to avoid her name popping up in the newspapers, she finally talks about the marriage, in an interview with the British 'Now' Magazine. The actress said the marriage can easily classify as her biggest personal mistake, not because she didn't take it seriously, but because she allowed herself to believe that a marriage was what she needed at the time.
In the same interview, Zellweger also gave a reason for which she refused to talk about her failed relationship until now: she didn't want to become a part of the media frenzy that was sure to be caused had she or Kenny talked to the press. 'I didn't want to share anything with anyone. We all deal with this kind of thing in our own way. I also didn't want to become a figure of entertainment to others.
