Kate No Longer Gets That Owen Love
06 January, 2007
Sure, they never quite confirmed they were an item so that probably makes the news of them breaking up seem a little easier to take. Then again, 'news' is such a loosely used term in this specific instance, so we'd better go with 'rumor' or 'allegation'. Anyway, if you thought the alleged summer romance between Kate Hudson and the 'butterscotch stallion' Owen Wilson will outlast the summer, you were wrong. The two stars were constantly in all the headlines after they were spotted dining out together, kissing and holding hands and there was even speculation that her marriage to rock star Chris Robinson ended because she was too much in love with Wilson. There was never confirmation of their love affair, other than the taped interview Owen gave to one tabloid, in which he brags about 'boning' the beautiful daughter of Goldie Hawn. In jest or in all seriousness, the actor says: 'For sure I wasn't the first guy to kill time with Kate in her trailer between takes either. Hell, my brother boned that chick every day on the set of “Alex and Emma” four years ago, just like Matthew McConaughey did when he co-starred with Kate in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. That's why I jumped at the chance to make “You, Me and Dupree” with her. Luke and Matthew told me about this thing she does with a scarf and a couple of ping pong balls. I just had to see that one for myself'.
Now, 'Us Weekly' (the same one that covered the entire story of another non-couple, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn), writes that distance, time apart and too much non-commitment from Owen finally led to the couple's break up. There was no bickering and no exchange of foul language between the stars, according to reports, as they 'quietly and mutually decided to go on separate ways'. Oh, don't fret about it – the media (the tabloids) will have them back together and 'engaged' in less than a month! Posted by admin at 07:38 PM | View: (237) |
