Marilyn Manson Finds His True Love, His 'Twin'

Ever since early January, when one of the most shocking and yet 'normal' couples in Hollywood announced the divorce proceedings have been initiated, there has been a lot of speculation as to what might have made the Prince of Darkness give up on his long-standing relationship with his ridiculously beautiful princess. We are talking, of course, about controversial rocker Marilyn Manson and burlesque dancer and pinup girl Dita von Teese.

When the news broke that Dita was seeking divorce, rumor had it that Marilyn had a relapse into alcoholism. For those who don't remember, it was the dancer who filed the papers for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the main reason. However, the tabloids had an entirely different story and, apparently, they were right: Marilyn had found his love someone else.


After the divorce was made public, the rocker played it low, refusing to comment on the situation but the rumor that he was dating Evan Rachel Wood, a 19-year-old actress, was very strong. The two had met in the past (prior to the divorce, that is) and kept the same friends. In time, gossip had it, they grew fonder and fonder of each other and, by the time Marilyn painted her, they were already an item – a thing that was never officially confirmed.

Now, with a brand new album coming out ('Eat Me, Drink Me') and with a publicity tour on his hands, Marilyn in willing to let the world take a peek into his personal life and, months later, he confirms what we already know: that he is dating Rachel and that she was indirectly the main reason for which Dita sought the divorce.


Enlarge pictureIn a brand new interview with 'Le Parisien' newspaper, Marilyn has only kind words for the woman with whom he is sharing his life – she is, according to him, the soul mate he had been looking for his whole life: 'I've found my double, my twin, with my new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood. She's 19 and that's certainly very young, but that's not a problem for me. She likes the same things as me. She understands I like to get up when night falls and go to sleep at dawn'.

As for the failed marriage with Dita, the rocker says it all went wrong the moment she stopped accepting him for who he was, the instant she tried to change him. 'Our relationship ended at Halloween and I was completely destroyed psychologically. I was married to someone who wanted me to change, become more adult, more responsible. I began not to like myself, not like what I do. I lost my identity. Everything began collapsing around me', he explained.

Well, as long as you are happy, Marilyn, the entire world is happy. That goes for Rachel, too. Because we all know it must be a real challenge to live with the man who likes to call himself the 'Antichrist Superstar'.
