Paris and Nicole Under Attack
07 April, 2007
Ever since it was officially announced that the wonderful show that is 'The Simple Life' had been greenlit for yet another season, the world kept a close eye on Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie (the two main stars), hoping that something would happen to prevent them to go on with the schedule. Yes, that's the truth! The world doesn't want to see them act for the simple reason that they have no idea what acting is. That without even taking into consideration what the two socialites understand by the term 'reality TV'. Anyway, since the show did go on as planned, people were forced to go with the flow. After all, if there's nothing you can do about something, at least you can try to make fun of it. And, come to think of it, when you have Paris and Nicole in the same spot, doing a show in which they pretend to be, like, real and stuff, you can't but have a lot of fun! In the light of all this, you can imagine how the world giggled when word got out that, for this brand new season of the show, the two party animals (or celeretards, as they are called in certain circles) would be coaching a bunch of kids in a summer camp that looked like a fat camp but was not. Allegedly. I mean, who is better than Nicole Richie to teach impressionable children about the benefits of having lemon water for breakfast, lunch and dinner Again: allegedly. Who else than Paris could be the perfect person for teaching our nation's young ones about what being a role model really means You get my point...
Now take a look at the ad above, which was devised by the Gallery of the Absurd and see how things really stand. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are not some television 'stars': never have and never will be, because that would require talent. Neither are they as gorgeous as Photoshop has made them look in the official poster. What they are, in fact, is two attention-hungry bimbos who simply pretend to be doing something so that all the media coverage that is being given to them can seem justified. At least, that's what the parody is implying. Now, we're gonna play a game in which I pretend I'm new at this and I don't know which is the truth (meaning, of having to choose between the official poster and the spoof) and you are too concerned with hurting my feelings to let me know. That is why we are going to enjoy the Absurd poster without straining our intellect too much over which is Paris and Nicole's purpose on earth. Peace out. Posted by admin at 07:23 PM | View: (144) |
