Buy an Umbrella... Ella... Ella... Eh... Eh...

Rihanna has just made history! Her 'Umbrella' single, that great track with the too-hot-to-handle video, has just broken all records in UK music history, entering its tenth week at number one on the singles' chart. This petite and extremely talented singer, Jay Z's protégée, managed to break the record initially set by Wet Wet Wet in 1994. And, as if that wasn't enough to show that Rihanna is here to stay, she has another video just out, for a more upbeat and disco track, 'Don't Stop the Music', about which critics already said that it's bound to become the hit of this summer. And there are also many TV appearances and countless interviews with the new IT girl on the scene that will surely make you see that her domination is (almost) complete. Save for one thing: a side career to make her even more popular. But Rihanna is not the one to let something like this out of her sight. She got international fame with 'Umbrella' and she plans to capitalize on that: the singer has just released her own line of... wait!... umbrellas! While other pop stars or even actresses go down the traditional route of 'creating personal fragrances' or clothing lines or even bags or purses, Rihanna opts for the unconventional. So, if you liked the song and especially Rihanna's umbrella, you too can be as glamorous as she was in the video. Or, at least, imagine that you are so.
Apparently, Rihanna's umbrella collection is already available and these are the choices that you're faced with: you can buy the Rihanna Slender 'Brella for about 15 bucks or the upscale 2 Color Satin Stick Umbrella for $50. It's practically a bargain! OK, it might not actually be so, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Sadly, the fact that Rihanna is now out with her own umbrella collection also means that we will never be able to get that 'Ella... Ella... Ella... Eh... Eh' part of the track (which is sooo annoying!) out of our heads! In fact, I think that the word 'umbrella' just lost all meaning for me...
