Kate Proud to Be Anorexic Chic

This post might as easily have come with a different heading, like 'When dumb bimbos say stupid things' or something in this line. Yes, I know Kate Moss is not actually a dumb bimbo, although her actions alone could speak volumes in support of this theory. However, she might be taking things a bit too far with her new trend... according to some. After being involved in a major drug scandal a while ago, from which she miraculously came out with her reputation intact (kinda) and a highly mediated relationship for which she got nothing else but criticism, Kate seems set to keep those tongues wagging no matter what. For those who are not that familiar with her modeling career (and who know of it only from the many naked shots she took part in), you should know that Moss was among the first models to give life to that druggie sexy look that was popular not long ago.
In fact, the fashion industry seems to credit Kate alone for being the one who practically 'coined' the look, to which she stuck until now. What changed, you asked? Well, apparently, Kate made the move from druggie chic to anorexic chic, and it's called 'rexy'. As in a combination of 'anorexic' and 'sexy'. Yes, go ahead and wrap your brains around that one if you can! You can probably imagine that the British media is already over this, especially as Kate seems prone to glorify a look and a way of life that is nothing short of pure suicide. And, the worst part is, she is still considered by many girls (both from the fashion industry and outside of it) a role model in terms of looks, so her 'rexy' body could be taken as something that girls have to starve themselves to get. 'It [the 'rexy' term] is used by Kate, Sadie Frost [Jude Law's former girlfriend] and other members of that A-list crowd to make a statement to each other that they are looking good.', the British media writes about the new term on the scene. This, along with the fact that the size 0 models ban is still in full effect after the death of many models who also thought anorexia was sexy, is not going to help Kate's career. Especially not after she has always maintained that she is naturally skinny and not doing it on purpose. Well, so much for 'naturally skinny'! Please welcome the rexy!
