Keira Knightley Needs to Be Force-Fed Right Now

If we were to judge Keira based on the things she's been saying lately, then you'd say she's one of the most miserable people alive. I mean, she hates being famous, she hates some of her fellow celebrities and she hates people holding her as a role model and wondering about her (virtually non-existent) weight. The thuth is, every time we've seen Keira over the past few weeks, at the Venice Film Festival and more recently at the London premiere of "Atonement" she's been looking increasingly – and alarmingly – thin. And she hasn't been doing any efforts to hide it – check out the dress she wore on the red carpet in London and then tell me if you've still got any questions left or whether you're gonna pay someone to tie her to a chair and force feed her until she starts to look at least reasonably normal. And of course, people have noticed and questions have been asked about Keira's unhealthy figure. And although anorexia is not necessarily an accusation, but rather something that – judging on how she looks – is a definite possibility, she's been asked whether she might have some hidden troubles with that particular eating disorder.
OK, first of all, I must say it took a while before I could make any sense of that long, sour rant. And when I did (barely), the first thing that came to my mind was "gee, even she noticed there's something to worry about, otherwise she wouldn't expect questions about it". The fact is, dear old Keira is not doing herself any favors by adopting this feisty, nerdy, old-lady attitude of hers. Apparently, she wants to stay focused on the work at hand. Surprise! It's not a very good pretext, seeing how for an actress her looks is integral part of her work. "I think what I want to keep it about is the work, that's all I'm interested in, and when you've got a project like this I think it's a shame to take it away from that". Nice try. But it looks that little Miss Righteousness does have a good opinion about herself in some respects - and here she is having a go at the likes of Lindsay, Paris 7 Co. "I'm not going to get blind drunk and then stumble out and fall over and puke up in front of people. I'm not saying I don't do that in private, but I try not to. The whole celebrity thing is not magic. They're real people proving they're shittier than everybody else because they don't even wear knickers". And while I leave you to contemplate this last pearl of wisdom, let me just say this: I'm not sure I'd even like to think about Keira's privates unless I want to see how designer lingerie looks put on display on a handful of bare bones – and I think I’ll pretty much stop here with the visuals.
