SOFTPEDIA EXCLUSIVE: The Truth Will Prevail
11 September, 2007
Yesterday, I was telling you that the whole Anna Nicole Smith drama had just been brought back into the newspapers again, thanks to former MSNBC reporter Rita Cosby's book 'Blonde Ambition: The True Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death'. Even more, Softpedia managed to make a brief contact to a person who is not only directly involved in the whole thing, but who also stands a lot to gain from the consequences of said book. We're talking about Mark 'Hollywood' Hatten, the man who dated the Marilyn Monroe wannabe pin-up girl for about two years, a relationship that ended when Mark was incarcerated for battery and making criminal threats against the model. However, throughout the entire time that Mark spent in jail, he insisted that he had been wrongfully sentenced and that, in fact, it was Howard K. Stern who was behind it all, simply because the latter wanted to see Hatten away from Anna Nicole. At one point, Mr. Hatten was also among Smith's former boyfriends who filed for a DNA paternity test, to establish who the natural father of Dannielynn Smith was, the baby girl who was born only months before the model was found dead in her hotel room.
Enlarge picture'Blonde Ambition' claims that not only was Stern responsible for 20-year-old Daniel's death, but that he was even so eager to get his hands on some of Anna Nicole's money that he agreed to sell Dannielynn to Larry – with whom he allegedly had a homosexual relationship that lasted for at least a couple of years. The bottom line is that there is a lot of money involved – an estimated worth about $500 million that Dannielynn will inherit once she comes of age. So, I guess wondering about the length some people would go in order to get that kind of money makes no sense right now. However, while both Stern and Birkhead have threatened to sue Cosby for publishing the book which, they say, is 'pure fiction' presented as cold hard fact, there are a few people that still want it to be made public (aside from its author, of course). Among them is Mark Hatten and his sister Jackie (who introduced him to Anna Nicole Smith back in 2000). If yesterday we gave you Jackie's statement, now it's Mark's turn to have his say. 'Mark "Hollywood" Hatten is an ex boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith. Mark Hatten is indeed incarcerated on charges he alleges were fabricated in order to remove him from Anna Nicole Smith's life. The charges that Mark Hatten was convicted of are "Assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, Battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and one count of making criminal threats." Mr. Hatten was adjudged NOT guilty on the other criminal threats charge and of stalking. Mark Hatten has lost years of his life to incarceration due to misinformation, and he feels that Rita Cosby's book ['Blonde Ambition'] will bring to the public, a true perspective of Anna Nicole and Daniel Smith's lives, as well as their deaths.', was Mr. Hatten's exclusive official statement to Softpedia, in what regards the newly published book. For the moment, things are on hold, but do not expect them to last that way forever. Come tomorrow, we will have more details on the entire story so stay tuned here.
